Filipino actress Iza Calzado won the Yakushi Pearl Award (best performer) at the 12th Osaka Asian Film Festival for Jerrold Tarog’s “sexually charged thriller,” “Bliss.”
She was in Japan to receive the award on Saturday. “I am so happy and honored. I am still overwhelmed,” she told the Inquirer on Monday. “Only a few awards were given in Osaka and I felt proud representing our country onstage that night.
