After five heart-stopping, gut-wrenching and tear-jerking seasons, AMC’s “Breaking Bad” delivered one of the best crime drama masterpieces in television history.
As tempting as it is to binge-watch and relive the critically-acclaimed series once more, the 62-episode show takes almost 62 hours (almost three days) to be viewed completely.
Using prime editing skills and video-sharing website Vimeo, one devoted fan turned the outstanding show into a 127-minute film.
As seen in the clip’s description, “Breaking Bad-The Movie” is described as an “absolute nonprofit project” by one unnamed fan.
“After two years of sleepless nights of endless editing, we bring you the answer to that very question. A study project that became an all-consuming passion,” the description read.
Although the video’s compressed scenes forego the show’s natural vibe and tone, the brilliant adaptation seems to a welcome variation to the original show’s slow-paced, methodical drama approach.
“It’s not a fan-film, hitting the highlights of show in a home-made homage, but rather a re-imagining of the underlying concept itself, lending itself to full feature-length treatment,” the description further stated. “An alternative ‘Breaking Bad’, to be viewed with fresh eyes.” JB
