“La La Land” is set to get a musical overhaul in the form of a live concert celebrating its original score.
The Oscar-winning movie is being transformed for a worldwide musical tour, set to debut on May 26 at the Hollywood Bowl, Variety reports.
The show will see the score brought to life with the help of a 100-piece symphony orchestra, choir, and jazz ensemble, with vocals provided by the movie’s original recordings.
Following two gigs at the Hollywood Bowl, “La La Land in Concert: A Live-to-Film Celebration” will travel throughout the United States, and overseas to countries including Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy. JB
