Even though they had been friends for decades, petty politics drove a wedge between Seasoned Personality and Grizzled Colleague.
In the past, they saw eye to eye when it came to national issues. Recent developments, however, forced SP and GC to part ways.
GC wasn’t motivated by idealism in abandoning SP and company.
It was strictly a business decision for GC. Of late, GC has been available to the highest bidder—like a true mercenary.
GC once attempted to charge Stunned Colleague millions of pesos for campaign services.
Alas, SC knew better, and GC went home empty-handed.
After all, SC is no newcomer in GC’s crooked game.
State of insecurity
As if Beleaguered Firm is not saddled with enough problems, there’s a brewing battle royale within its ranks.
Seems Brainy Underlings are not that impressed with the Big Boss’ choice, Anointed Leader. BUs look down on AL, who comes from a different world.
They think AL isn’t fit for the job. They are just waiting for AL to make a major boo-boo. But then again, AL has BB’s full trust and confidence.
Two camps can play the waiting game.
Due date
Pretty Starlet is in a bind.
PS wants to get knocked up, but Mother Nature isn’t cooperating at all.
Problem is, the clock is ticking for PS’ Dashing Partner, leaving PS in a constant state of panic.
Thing is, while PS is crying a river, DP’s Other Kids are now bringing out the bubbly.
Seems OKs are not that thrilled about welcoming a new addition to the ever-growing clan. Ayus!
Idle chatter
Talk about instant karma.
All that scheming and plotting led Vociferous Celebrity nowhere.
VC concocted all sorts of controversies to disparage other luminaries who were considered rivals.
While the purported victims were able to bounce back, VC was banished to the depths of despair. Worse, VC is currently idle, and there are no offers in sight.
According to a source, no one wants to work with VC.
Perhaps VC’s rep as an intrigue monger has made other people leery about possible collaborations.
Artificial beauty
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
All those cosmetic enhancements have turned Perky Starlet into an artificial beauty—inside and out.
On the set of her latest project, PS welcomed a bunch of reporters like long-lost buddies. Loquacious PS regaled the visitors with an endless stream of stories. Then, PS excused herself, to go to the loo.
Turned out PS wasn’t planning to use the toilet at all. PS’ mission was to conspire with her handler—so that she could be spared from the boring interview.
PS returned to the gathering and picked up where she left off—giggling between spiels.
Right on cue, a staffer butts in to extricate PS from the tête-à-tête.
