Veteran talent manager Cornelia ‘Angge’ Lee died of heart attack on Thursday, it was confirmed. She was 70 years old.
The confirmation was made by her daughter Imelda to ABS-CBN. She said Lee passed on at around 9:20 a.m. at their Antipolo home. “Tita Angge” as she was popularly called, had been in coma for over a year.
“Thank you for all the prayers for my mother who fought for her life for one year,” Imelda told ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual. “Praise God it was a peaceful sleep,” she added.
About March of last year, Lee was rushed to a hospital after complaining of chest pain after watching a movie. She was believed to be dead on arrival, but doctors managed to revived her.
The wake will be held at the Arlington Memorial Chapels (Halls B and C) on Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, starting Friday.
Lee was first given a break in show biz by director Pablo Santiago who cast her for a role in the movie “Continental Playboy.”
She has become a pillar in the industry handling numerous celebrities including Sylvia Sanchez, Mickey Feriols, Timmy Cruz and Smokey Manaloto. /ra
