Her closeness to big sis Anne Curtis is known to many, but how does Jasmine Curtis-Smith actually feel now that her “ate” is getting married?
Entertainment reporters caught up with Jasmine Curtis-Smith—at a press conference for the commercial release of her movie, the Cinema One Originals 2016 entry “Baka Bukas”—where the actress gamely talked about how excited she is for the next chapter of sister Anne’s life.
Despite busy schedules, an upcoming wedding and a married life ahead, Jasmine is sure nothing much will change about Anne, herself and the rest of their family.
“Kilala ko si ‘ate’, hindi siya yung tipong, dahil lang may bago na siyang pinagkakabisihan or ini-invest yung time niya,” she said.
(I know my big sister very well. She’s not the type who will change just because of new priorities on which she invests time.)
She further says that even though her big sis has always been working, Anne has never lost time for the family, which has always been her big sister’s priority.
“Never naman siya talagang nawalan ng time for family (she never really had no time for the family, ever) and if we ask for it, she [would] always make room for us,” Jasmine said.
“I don’t think much will change. It’s really just the status,” she added.
If there’s one thing that would change, Jasmine believes that their family would be a lot closer, especially since they will have a new family member in the person of Anne’s soon-to-be-husband, Erwan Heussaff.
“He’s always been very involved. Every time I hang out with ate, he’s been very unfiltered when it comes to [our relatives],” Jasmine shared. JB
