With both having roots from performing at comedy bars, comedians Vice Ganda and Ethel Booba have been good friends since their stand-up comedian days. But behind the funny faces they put up in public, Ethel Booba reveals how Vice Ganda truly is, as a friend.

In her February 15 guesting on Inquirer ShowbizLive, Booba described how Vice Ganda supports her love life. She revealed that whenever she goes through a rough time in her life, it is her friend Vice Ganda whom she usually goes to for advice.

Hindi siya kumokontra kahit sino. (She does not object to whoever [I see].)” she said.

She also said that she informs Vice Ganda when she goes out with somebody despite being in a relationship.

Alam niya kapag lumalabas ako pero taken ako (She knows when I go out with somebody else even when I’m already taken.),” she said.

And when she turns to Vice Ganda for a shoulder to cry on, she always hears her friend ask her, “Ang lagi lang niyang advice, sa tingin mo magiging masaya ka jan sa pagmumukmok mo?

(“Her advice often comes to me in the form of a question: ‘Do you think you would be happy, moping like that?'”)

Since both are very busy, they find the time to catch up when going out to travel.

Chika-chikahan ng mga lovelife. Pero ‘pag agad-agad nagyaya ako, join naman siya ka’gad. Ibig sabihin may something, may problema,” she said.

(“We chat about our love life. There are times that I’d invite her to travel just on a whim, and she’d quickly join. That usually means there’s something, there’s a problem.”)

Ethel Booba currently has a book out, a compilation of her funny and witty tweets called “Charotisms: The wit and wisdom of Ethel Booba”, now available in major bookstores.
