Gretchen and Tony Boy defy naysayers, celebrate 23 years together

Business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco and longtime partner, actress Gretchen Barretto celebrated their 23rd anniversary together with their loyal employees.

In an Instagram photo with their staff, as reported by Bandera, Barreto said in her caption, “Yesterday, my Tony [and] I celebrated 23 years together. It has been what my Dada calls (one hell of a ride) through its ups [and] downs but it sure is well worth it. For many who witnessed our relationship from the beginning, most predicted that we won’t last more than [two] month[s]”.

The 46-year-old stunner described their highly polarized origins, yet says that no difference can break a relationship if the foundation of love is real and strong.

“My Tony being 19 years older, coming from a wealthy family, a respected businessman [and a] brilliant one to say the least. Me being an actress, coming from the extreme opposite side of the world [and] yes, of a different breed [and] class, but hey, here we are, through it all, I guess it’s safe for me to say that true love conquers all,” she wrote.

Barretto also acknowledged the importance of their employees and their family, especially their beloved and only daughter, Dominique Cojuangco.

“To say that I am blessed is an understatement. I opted to celebrate with these lovely people in this photo above, they have been a great part of our journey. To all those on this photo… My gratitude for your unconditional love. @dominiquecojuangco we love you [and] missed you last night.”

Despite living together for decades, the two haven’t married yet, as Cojuangco is still legally married to his first wife, equestrienne Denise Yabut Cojuangco.
