Celebs grill Cupid on V-Day

There’s a kind of mush all over the metro as we gear up for Hearts’ Day. We Filipinos are such romantic fools that V-Day ought to be declared a national holiday. The countless Valentine concerts only goes to show what a big deal the occasion is in the Philippines.

In the spirit of fun, I asked some celebs: If Cupid really existed, what would you ask him?

Ah! The tricks Cupid can do. Happy Hearts’ (and no more Hurts) Day, tout le monde!

Alden Richards: Why do we fall in love?

Iza Calzado

Iza Calzado: If Cupid existed, I would ask him “Why didn’t you match me with Ryan Gosling?” I’m kidding, Ben Wintle is my true match! Sabay bawi. Hahaha!

Seriously, “Cupid, when you matchmake, do you really intend to set us up for heartbreak first so when the perfect one comes along, we’ve been through tough times already? Appreciate the good because we’ve been through the bad?”

Derek Ramsay: Why is it that love can feel good and bad at the same time?

Eugene Domingo: Who’s your favorite love team? What’s your fave rom-com movie and love song?

Marvin Agustin: Can you please work faster?

Jasmine Curtis-Smith

Jasmine Curtis-Smith: I wouldn’t ask him anything. I’d thank him for bringing the best man I could have in my life.

IC Mendoza: Cupid, next time you hit me, please hit the object of my affection, too!

Christian Bables

Christian Bables: Why did you invent heartbreak? If your arrow really works, why do you let it hit the wrong person or the right person at the wrong time? Do you have poor eyesight? Is that why your aim is not always perfect?

Valerie Concepcion: Do I really have to wait for the guy to ask, or can I ask him to marry me?

Rocco Nacino: How can you make true love last? It’s easy to fall in love, but staying in love is hard. How do I do that?

Alex Medina: Can love really stop hate and war? Can you earn love? How do we all get there?

Benjamin Alves: Is your arrow’s effect permanent?

Barbie Forteza: How will I know if he is the one?

Julie Anne San Jose: How do you match people?

Jake Vargas: How does he know if the one he hits is single, married or widowed?
