My Shy Boss: The struggles of confessing

Everyone has experienced having troubles in expressing how they feel, of telling someone their feelings, or of idolizing a certain person and not having the strength to confess.

You’d always play the same scenario over and over again in your head – but end up getting tongue-tied when you’re in front of the object of your affections.

This is true not only in confessing, but also in work. You’d constantly get an amazing idea for work or for a project but end up just staying mum, watching your workmates take actions that you know can be improved. Or worse, you just end up giving your idea to a another person and have that person take credit for your hard work.

This is the everyday life of PR company Brain’s CEO Eum Hwan Gi in “My Shy Boss”. He is extremely introverted to the point that only a handful of his employees have seen his face. He wears a black cap and hood everyday. There are even rumors that his office on the fourth floor does not house a human, but a ghost!

Eum Hwan Gi has been following a young theatre actress named Chae Ro Woon, who plays a minor role in the famous play “Phantom of the Opera”. He has never failed to attend a show and always sent her flowers.
