Rapper Flo Rida to perform in Miss Universe pageant

American rapper Flo Rida is one of the personalities set to perform at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Manila.

This was announced by the Miss Universe Organization through social media posts on Thursday.

“We’re excited to announce that @official_flo will be PERFORMING live at #MissUniverse on Sunday January, 29th at 7/6c on @FOXTV!” the post on the pageant’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts read.

Flo Rida, born Tramar Lacel Dillard, is behind the hit songs Low, Good Feeling, Club Can’t Handle Me, Whistle, Wild Ones, and GDFR, among others.

Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo had said that an international artist with Filipino roots would perform during the Miss Universe coronation night, with fans bringing up the name of Bruno Mars. But Tourism Undersecretary Katherine De Castro said Mars would not be able to perform in the pageant due to rehearsals for his world tour.
