Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has admitted that she is in a relationship with Filipino-Swiss race car driver Marlon Stockinger.
āWe are together,ā Wurtzbach confirmed to ABS-CBN inĀ a live interview with Dyan Castillejo onĀ Monday.
āIām glad that I finally met somebody whoās very secure with himself and who understands my job, and whoās not afraid to let me have my moment such as right now, now that the competition is happening here,ā she said.
Wurtzbach is in the country for the 2016 Miss Universe pageant. With her hectic work schedule, Stockinger, she said,Ā remains understanding and open-minded. Wurtzbach added that they shared a lot in common.
Besides being half-Filipinos, both areĀ Catholics.
āIām also happy with the fact that heās a Filipino and that heās also a Catholic. I think we have a lot of things in common,ā she stressed.
She cited Stockingerās humor as one of his best traits.
āHeās very funny, like heād always make me laugh. Hindi pilit yung parang dahil gusto ko siya, natatawa lang ako (My laughter is not contrived just because I like him, itās for real),ā she said.
āHe knows a lot of things about me that I probably shouldnāt tell other people, but heās cool with it,ā she added.
The beauty queen also said she wasĀ at peace with their relationship because the people who matter most to her including those inĀ the Miss Universe Organization approved of it.
āEsther (Swan, her manager) approves, thatās the number one thing,ā she said. āPaula (Shugart, Miss Universe president) likes him,ā¦the Miss Universe Organization likes him. Thatās a huge relief on my part because, whew, I donāt have to worry,ā she said.
