Beloved Korean actor and comedian Lee Kwang-soo admitted that he thinks he’s just as popular as “Descendants of the Sun” star Song Joong-ki, in the latest episode of Running Man.
Kwang-soo was under a lie detector test as a mission in the show, and passed the test when he gave his admission that he sees himself to be as popular as Joong-ki.
The Running Man cast were on an MT (membership training) in Pyeongchang as requested by Song Jihyo for the first part of their “Member’s Week” special.
The members dreaded the last challenge, a bath purification in the Ice Valley, during winter. They had to pass challenges like the lie detector test, herding ship within two minutes, and eating with giant chopsticks for them to be exempted from the ice bath.

Both widely admired celebrities in their country, Kwang-soo and Joong-ki are also known to be one of the closest friends in the Korean entertainment industry.
Joong-ki even talked about his friendship with Kwang-soo during his fan meeting in Beijing last year.

During the Q&A session, Joong-ki said he would definitely bring Kwang-soo with him on a trip.
“I need someone to pay for the food… Just kidding! He’s a very, very close friend so if ever we have time, we should definitely go on a trip together,” he said.
Song Joong-ki is also a former cast member of Running Man.
