Wish list for celebs

All in the spirit of the New Year, here’s my wish list for celebrities. May you all see fireworks in everything you do this year and beyond.
Aga and Charlene Muhlach: A personal museum where they will display their extensive painting collection, which they can name “MuhL’Art Pour L’Art” (my wordplay on Muhlach and the French expression, L’Art pour L’Art, which means “art for art’s sake”).
Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo: A culinary school, so she can pass on her cooking techniques and recipes. It will be known as “Joie-Day de Cuisiner” (my wordplay on her nickname, Juday, and the French expression, joie de cuisine, which means “joy of cooking”).
Paolo Ballesteros: His own makeup school, so he can share his maquillage tricks. And he can call it “Level Up Your Make Up.”
Marvin Agustin: A food park featuring the top-selling dishes of his different restaurants to be called “No Starvin’ with Marvin.”
Hayden Kho And Vicki Belo: A theme park inspired by their baby, Scarlet Snow, to be named either “Winter Winter Lang” or “Winter Youngderland.”
John Estrada: Since he’s a golf enthusiast, he must have his own golf course and call it “Hole-in-John.”
Joey De Leon: Since he and his wife, Eileen, are jetsetters, they ought to have their own airline and call it “Joey to the World.”
James Yap: A basketball training school to keep him busy when he retires from the PBA, which will be called either “Hoop for the Best” or “No Trouble Dribble.”
Regine Velasquez: A music school for biritera wannabes to be named “Biritera” or “Peg Ko si Reg.”
Matteo Guidicelli: A race car driving school, so he can share his secrets as a driving champ. It will be called “For the Fast and Curious.”

Hail the ‘Queens’
The Metro Manila Film Fest’s best picture, “Sunday Beauty Queen,” hits all the right spots. It makes viewers look beyond Disneyland and Nathan Road next time they visit Hong Kong. The domestic helpers in the poignant documentary have endeared themselves to us.
The film made me admire them all the more when
producer Chuck Gutierrez told me that the OFWs in the docu refused to be paid, even if they needed the extra income. It was more than enough for them that their story would be told. Bravo to all our Sunday Beauty Queens in HK. You reign in our hearts.
The MVP group of companies, through its social corporate responsibility organization, Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (Akfi), aims to provide a helping hand during calamities (e-mail [email protected] for inquiries). Akfi’s various programs will be featured in the TV5 show, “Alagang Kapatid.” Help, help, hooray!
