Song Joong-ki grateful for Descendants of the Sun

In an interview by Viu during the 2016 KBS Drama Awards red carpet event, Song Joong-ki expressed his gratitude for Descendants of the Sun.

“To know that we’re loved not only in Korea, but in other Asian countries as well brings me joy and a huge sense of honor, so I can’t say that I’m disappointed with anything,” Joong-ki says when asked if he was disappointed about anything with the drama.

When asked about which award he was aiming for, Joong-ki said that he’d want to win the “Best Couple Award” with DOTS leading lady song Hye Kyo

“Since it’s a show heavily focused on romance, winning that award would be proof of how great we portrayed our roles,” Joong-ki says.
