Modest but happy celebration for Sue Prado

What is your most memorable Christmas season?

Let’s stick to the happiest memories; the bad ones are a waste of spirit remembering. So, the happiest one for me was in 1994—when we still had my father’s farm.

It was a very small celebration, but we were complete. Everybody was healthy. My mom and now brother-in-law even came up with a Santa Claus drama. We dressed up in whatever outfit we wanted.

Everyone had a gift. We weren’t used to receiving gifts, because of austerity.

This year, my sisters and I will try to be present at our dad’s bedside. It might be our last holiday together. —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
