Lorna Tolentino praying for Revillas
Actress Lorna Tolentino says she has been praying for the family of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., one of her and her late husband Rudy Fernandez’s closest pals, following the tragedy that has struck the clan.
“My prayers go out to the family, first and foremost,” Lorna told reporters during a recent press con for “Glamorosa,” her TV5 drama series.
She hopes the scandal—the murder of Revilla Jr.’s half-brother Ramgen Bautista, with siblings RJ and Ramona tagged as suspects—will be resolved soon.
Lorna, 49, appealed to the public to refrain from jumping to conclusions, saying, “The truth will eventually come out.”

She hasn’t visited Senator Bong since the news broke, but they’ve been exchanging text messages. “I’d hate to bother him right now,” Lorna said.
In “Glamorosa,” Lorna plays Dr. Natalia Herrera, a cosmetic surgeon. Does the role pressure her to look her best every time? “Not really,” she said. “As celebrities we should all take care of ourselves. We always need to look good. We owe it to the fans. It’s a part of the job.”
Asked if she would consider any cosmetic procedure to look youthful, the awarded actress said she’d probably think about it at some point. However, she believes that to be truly beautiful, one has to find peace and spiritual wellness.
“Wala naman tayong dadalhin kapag umalis tayo sa mundong ito kung hindi ’yung mga magagandang nagawa natin,” Lorna said.
