Confusing, challenging year for Chris Martinez

How do you intend to celebrate the holidays this year?

I’m happy that, after a long while, my family and I will be complete. We watched “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2” together on Christmas Day. Because I expected that I’d be busy this December (he’s also promoting his film “Extra Service”), I already rewarded myself by taking a month-long leave from work recently. I treated myself to a European trip and visited Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom.

This is a year that’s both confusing and challenging for me. I always tell myself not to feel distracted by all the noise. I also try to contribute to society. I’ve written a play (“Never Again: Voices of Martial Law”). I just do what is expected of me, and do it well.—Marinel R. Cruz
