For Dominic Roque, Christmas is for family

What is your most memorable Christmas season? How do you intend to celebrate the holidays this year?

Christmas last year was unforgettable. I went out of town with my family, and my best friend’s family joined us. We stayed in a beach resort in Bolinao, Pangasinan.

We had so much fun because we had the whole place to ourselves. My mom cooked kare-kare, sisig and other Filipino dishes. My best friend’s mom also prepared her own specialties for noche buena.

This year, we might check in in a hotel in the city. On Christmas Day, my friends and I are planning to watch my movie (“Seklusyon”), which is an entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

But for New Year, my family and my best friend’s family will go to the province again. We want to welcome 2017 on a beach in Morong, Bataan, to get away from the noise and smoke in the city. —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
