“I can’t ask for anything more, because everyone dear to me was there. I was crying the whole time! I got to fully appreciate the fact that there are a lot of people who love me,” young actress Gabbi Garcia, who turned 18 last Dec. 2, said of her recent debut party at the Manila Marriott Hotel.

To her liking, her celebration, dubbed “#SincerelyGabbi” had a “modern minimalist” theme, with guests requested to wear black or white, for an elegant look. Gabbi, on the other hand, wore two gowns—one silver; the other, emerald green—by designer Mark Bumgarner.

Among Gabbi’s 18 roses that night were Rocco Nacino, Derrick Monasterio, screen sweetheart Ruru Madrid and her father, who gifted her with a brand new car. Entertainment was provided by Christian Bautista, Aicelle Santos, and the birthday girl herself, who sang and played the guitar for her family, friends and show biz colleagues.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
