The holidays are very special to me. But while we’re always happy during Christmastime, we sometimes miss the people in our lives who have passed away. We miss their presence, but we all know they’re happy and are now at peace in heaven with the Almighty Father.
Our family loves to go out of town—we go to the beach, to our home province in Pampanga, or book a hotel room somewhere. But we usually celebrate Christmas at home, with relatives who come all the way from other countries just to celebrate with us.
Spending Christmas and New Year with the family feels perfect—no problems, just pure fun. This year, I’m sure my parents, uncles and aunts will be very busy cooking the sumptuous food, while my cousins and I will be preparing the games.
A simple celebration is enough. What’s important is that we’re complete. —Allan Policarpio
