Megastar Sharon Cuneta admits that one of her dream jobs is to be an interior designer. Other items on her wish list: Taking up culinary arts and/or hotel and restaurant management, running a boutique hotel, opening a pastry shop/restaurant.
In her library, she has amassed books on interiors, cuisine and entertaining at home.
Now, she is thinking of sprucing up the fam’s condo—a home away from the Pangilinans’ suburban home. “There are two units per floor. I own one floor.”
She wishes that she could hire Joanna Gaines of the American TV show, “Fixer Upper.” “As if Joanna Gaines would say yes—what a dream!”
Back to reality.
She is very much content with her current collaboration with Filipino interior decorator Anna Leah Hernandez. “She’s great and knows exactly what I mean when I explain to her whatever it is I want done,” she wrote on Facebook.
The most important part is that the trust that she has given the designer isn’t wasted at all. “Anna Leah doesn’t overcharge me, which I truly appreciate,” she explained. “The No. 1 turn-off for me is when people look at me and … they seem to see a peso sign on my face.”
The singer-actress shares with the Inquirer snaps of her condo that she took herself. She made sure to emphasize, though: “But the family photo was taken by Yaya Hanzel.”
The city sanctuary is a veritable playground for the kids.
Miel’s bedroom
A fave piece is the Millennium Falcon bed in youngest son Miguel’s room. “Our only boy is obsessed with ‘Star Wars’…” There’s also a double-deck bed in his room—for visiting cousins and his nanny.
Third daughter Miel adores “the butterfly lamps with lavender shades” in her nook.

Second daughter Frankie chose a double-decker—with a work station below and a bed above.
Sharon wisely recycled old furniture pieces. “My daughters’ old beds in our former Wack-Wack house are now in Miel’s bedroom”—perfect for sleepovers with cousin and friends.
Miguel adores his Millennium Falcon bed.
It’s a home designed to be shared with the nearest and dearest.
