Controversial actor Baron Geisler is yet again caught in trouble, this time with film director and seasoned journalist Arlyn dela Cruz, who scored him for his “misbehavior.”

The online world was shocked as Dela Cruz posted an intense open letter addressed to Geisler in the wee hours of Nov. 28.

The filmmaker slammed Geisler for his “unacceptable” behavior that the actor allegedly showed during the filming of Dela Cruz’s “Bubog.” She, however, did not say exactly what happened.

In her Facebook post, the furious director said she accepted the original casting with Geisler included, not prejudging him despite previous negative write-ups about him and reports about his erratic behavior, and giving him the benefit of the doubt. She said Geisler had shown eagerness and passion to do the role both for artistic and financial reasons.

However, as the filming went on, she claimed that Geisler displayed “repulsive” behavior in dealing with fellow actor Ping Medina. The infuriated director said she has revised the film’s script and story by killing Geisler’s character.

Moreover, the director swore not to work with Geisler ever again and issued a warning to fellow filmmakers not to cast Geisler in their films. The post got mixed reactions, mostly supporting the director. Tagged in the said post were known people in the entertainment and film industry.

A few hours later, Geisler posted a response via his Facebook account.

While he said “sorry,” the actor stressed that the issue was a clear case of misunderstanding. According to him, he indeed told the director three times that he would do “something” and got the permission, adding “drama” could have been avoided if there was clear communication. At the end of his post, the actor said he was disappointed and accused the director of “washing her hands” of the whole thing, as he used the hashtags #hugaskamay, #pontiuspilate and #epicfail.

Inquirer.net sought comments from both Geisler and Medina, but both have not replied as of this writing.  Clarizel Abanilla
