Could it be true that Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson were on “deadma” mode during the shoot of ABS-CBN’s Christmas station plug? Or were the ex-sweethearts just in one of their moods?

Since a “Kimerald” teleserye is in the works, maybe the “cold shoulder” treatment will soon be replaced by warm (friendly) hugs.

Dingdong on infidelity

Infidelity is usually a given in many relationships these days. That’s why Star Cinema’s “The Unmarried Wife,” starring Dingdong Dantes, Paulo Avelino and Angelica Panganiban, is very timely. It tackles the whys and wherefores of extramarital affairs.

Here’s my chat with Dingdong:

How has your movie changed your views about marriage and infidelity? Being married for two years, the project gives me a realistic, yet alarming view of the possibilities that we can encounter as a couple. It’s always good to learn from stories through friends, and this portrayal gives me an intimate view to reflect on as I am deeply immersed into the flawed character I portray. Infidelity is only the tip of the iceberg.

Hypothetically, how would you handle a philandering wife? I honestly do not want to be in that position, because I surely wouldn’t like what I’d do. But as with any situation, for any issue to have a full resolution, we should first find out the “why” behind every action, then we make a wise [decision] from there.

What’s the sweetest wifey thing Marian has done for you? Small things—like preparing gourmet tuyo at home. I love that!

DINGDONG Dantes

Are you open to the idea of moving to ABS-CBN, or are you staying with GMA 7? I am happy with how I’m able to collaborate with like-minded institutions, on TV and in films. I’m grateful that I was granted this opportunity by my home network.

How will you celebrate your daughter Zia’s first birthday? On her first birthday, we plan to keep it simple and celebrate only with family.

What’s your unsolicited advice to philandering husbands? Search for the “why” and work on [the problem] together.

Do you believe that men are polygamous by nature? Man, by nature, is certainly not in control of what he feels, but is definitely the captain of what he does.

What will it take for a woman to “tame” a womanizer? Vodka or whiskey perhaps? But that would just be temporary (laughs).
