Kris on fans’ clamor for comeback: ABS-CBN no longer wants me

With one honest sentence, Kris Aquino froze a clamor from fans for her return to her former home network.

In a comment on her Instagram post on November 15, the “Queen of All Media” asserted that ABS-CBN, her network for two decades, “no longer wants her back.”

The TV host broke her silence after hundreds of fans commented on her photo with former “Kris TV” head writer Darla Sauler, all of them pleading for the TV host to reprise her career in ABS-CBN. Tagging several loyal fans, she commented, “@xiamaranan @tonirapera @gjhimsty @dauntlessgurl @guadagenson heartwarming sentiments but ABS-CBN no longer wants me. #truth,” she said.

Aquino’s exclusive contract with her home network lapsed on March 23, 2016. Soon after, she took a leave from the spotlight after the May 2016 elections, spending her time traveling with her two sons.

She also announced on the photo-sharing app that she left ABS-CBN and signed a contract with APT Entertainment, the creator of the popular noontime show “Eat Bulaga,” which is aired on rival GMA Network.

Aquino made a comeback with an appearance for an endorsement last month and a recent hosting stint at a business forum in Davao City last Friday. She was scheduled to conduct a one-on-one interview with President Duterte during that event but was called off due to the Chief Executive’s “migraine” attack.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
