Taylor Swift has proved again that she is the celestial royalty of break-up anthems.

Country music group Little Big Town announced on its Facebook Live video Tuesday that its newest hit “Better Man” was written by the “Shake It Off” songstress. “[Swift] sent us this song and it was one that was very special to her,” Karen Fairchild, one of the members of the quartet, told their fans.

“And she thought of us because of the harmonies, and she’s never pitched a song to anyone before and the moment that we heard it we were like, ‘Man, that is a song that we’re gonna cut,'” she added.

The song tells the struggle of a woman who separated with her lover because she feels she deserves a better man.

“I know I’m probably better off on my own than lovin’ a man who didn’t know, What he had when he had it,” the lyrics kick off. “And I see the permanent damage you did to me, Never again, I just wish I could forget when it was magic.”

Swift confirmed in an Instagram post her collaboration with the Alabama-based country quartet composed of, besides Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Philip Sweet. Since the track’s theme revolves around parting ways with a lover, fans speculated that “Better Man” might be Swift’s storytelling of her hostilities with Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris.

However, a source divulged to E! News that Swift, 26, composed the country song even before her two former flames appeared in her life.

“Everybody has a better man. It might have been a lover or a parent that disappointed you. I think the beauty of that storytelling is that we can all relate to being disappointed in someone and still loving them,” Fairchild concluded.
