I do believe that there’s always a “presence” everywhere.
One time, during an out-of-town concert, we checked in at an old house that was converted into a hotel… I was put in the master suite. It was early in the afternoon, so I decided to go for a nap. As I was dozing off, my jacket hanging on a chair fell. I didn’t mind it; I thought it just slid off. My backpack fell, too. Again, I didn’t mind.

I woke up, sat down and noticed that the desk had moved about a foot. It couldn’t have been the wind, I thought. So, I, together with my entourage, moved to a different room.

During my painting exhibit with Cris Villanueva, we heard a loud sound—as if a big box had fallen behind us—as we were staring at one of my works. Then, I felt a cold hand touch me. Cris and I were motionless for a few minutes.
I also had an experience at a mansion that is thought to be haunted in Marinduque. I was half-asleep when I felt that my blanket was being lifted up. I just ignored it.
But then, it happened again—this time, the blanket was pulled all the way down to my feet. I noticed that the shower was on; the toilet bowl flushed. I was alone in the room.
I believe there are good and evil spirits everywhere. But what I’m afraid of are ghosts of past girlfriends (laughs).
