KC Concepcion proud of half-sister for ‘Miss Earth’ performance

TV host-actress KC Concepcion took to social media to cheer for her half-sister Cloie Syquia Skarne, who represented Sweden and finished in the top 8 of the recently concluded Miss Earth beauty pageant.

“We feel so proud of @CloieSyquiaS she made it so far and looked absolutely STUNNING! She’s worked so hard and come so far!” Concepcion wrote on Twitter.

Skarne is the daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion and former actress Jenny Syquia.

Concepcion also praised her sister’s performance in the swimsuit, evening gown and question and answer portions.

“Killed it at swimsuit, and ravishing in her evening gown. You got this Clo,” she said in an earlier tweet.

“Thought I was going to faint!!! She answered so well! Kept her composure even if I could feel her nervesssss!” Concepcion added.

The half-Filipina model-host advanced to the top 8 of the competition but did not make it to the top 4.

Katherine Espin of Ecuador won the 2016 Miss Earth crown. Miss Philippines Imelda Bautista Schweighart from Palawan failed to advance to the semifinals.
