Andre Paras
While many of his colleagues have been working out to bulk up and go sexy, Andre Paras is in no real hurry to follow suit. The 20-year-old actor said that his focus at the moment is to entertain the younger audience.
“I’m happy that I’m one of the artists that kids can look up to…I want to be someone that would make parents go, ‘Andre is someone you can emulate,’” he related at a recent pocket interview for “Perfect Fit,” the second story of GMA 7’s interactive rom-com anthology, “Usapang Real Love.”
“I may start going to the gym someday, and eventually transition to more mature roles—action, perhaps. But for now, I’m aiming to be a role model for children,” added Andre, who’s being paired with newbie actress Mikee Quintos on the said show, which airs Sunday afternoons.
Having chemistry won’t be an issue for the new screen tandem, Andre said, because he has already gotten to know Mikee while working on the set of “Encantadia 2016.” We have gotten close; she’s bubbly and easy to work with. So, when I found out that I was going to be paired with her, I knew that it was going to be fun,” he related. “We’re open to anything.” —Allan Policarpio
