Internet sensation Kim Domingo is now Ginebra’s official calendar girl for 2017.
The Kapuso (GMA 7) actress was introduced on Wednesday as the team’s newest muse, joining a prestigious lineup of past muses who include Marian Rivera, Solenn Heusaff, Georgina Wilson and Arci Muñoz, this year’s Ginebra’s muse.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala na ako ang napili ng Ginebra San Miguel na maging calendar girl for 2017. Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako sa GSM family for choosing me. Isa lang ang maipapangako ko—na hindi sila magsisisi sa pagpili sa akin. I will do my very best para ma-represent nang maayos ang produktong ito,” she said.
She said being included in the roster of Ginebra was not only an honor but also a motivation for her to live up to the standards set by her predecessors who ably represented the brand.
“Sobrang pressure po yun kaya itong calendar na ito, pinaghandaan ko po itong mabuti kasi ayaw ko rin naman na may masabi ang ibang tao or mapahiya ako,” she said.
According to Nelson Elises, vice president and marketing manager of Ginebra, the actress was a good example for their campaign “Ganado sa Buhay (Living the Life).”
“In the past years, we chose rising stars who are undoubtedly flourishing in their respective careers today. This year, we chose someone who is in the point of taking off in her career. It is our intention, as a team, to support her and to grow with her,” he said.
“We chose this girl because her journey embodies Ginebra San Miguel’s ‘Ganado sa Buhay’ mantra. She’s someone who continues to chase her dreams and strive to be better,” he added.
Aside from being Ginebra San Miguel’s newest calendar girl, Kim Domingo is also visible in a number of projects in show biz. Her claim to fame was her series of dubsmash videos that became viral online. Clarizel Abanilla
