Apple subsidiary Beats is going all-out with the promotion of its latest lineup of wireless products, consisting of Beats Solo3, Powerbeats3 and BeatsX.
The audio product company founded by hip hop legend Dr. Dre, unveiled a one-minute and 43-second ad on Monday, (Tuesday in Manila) packed to the brim with celebrity cameos who were all wearing a pair of Beats’ trademark headphones.
Playing to the tune of Disney Pinocchio’s “No Strings,” the clip featured an array of wireless headphones that cater to Apple’s recent move to remove headphone jacks on the iPhone 7.
Among the big-name artists appearing in the clip were Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Pharrell and A$ap Rocky, while actors Rebel Wilson and Steve Buscemi were also featured.
Social media maven Amber Rose, Olympian Michael Phelps and NBA rookie Ben Simmons also represented the brand.
Beats’ ‘life without strings’ campaign described its new products with a new tagline, “Wireless remastered.”
“This is a celebration of life without strings. With Beats Wireless there’s nothing to hold you down, make you fret, or make you frown,” the company wrote on its website. “Introducing Wireless Remastered: The 40-hour battery life Beats Solo3 Wireless, Fast-fuel charging Powerbeats3 Wireles and the brand new BeatsX – your all-day companion.”
The Solo3 headphones are already available in stores, while the Powerbeats3 and BeatsX are set to be released later this year.
The BeatsX are priced at $149.95 (P7,224) while the Powerbeats3 will be slightly more expensive at $199.95 (P9,633). Khristian Ibarrola
