The 23rd Public Relations Congress was chaired by young PR practitioner Harold Brian Geronimo, who led a dynamic team of movers and shakers that included Gina Lumauig, Thelma Dumpit, Toby Nebrida, Ma. Lourdes Mijares, Kiko Dagohoy, Ana Ysabel Ongpin, Leilani Barlongay-Macasaet, Kym Edullantes, Ritzi Villarico Ronquillo and Kane Errol Choa.
With the theme #GlobalSpeak, the congress held at the Marriott Hotel was a tremendous success. The Spirit of ’67 band serenaded congress participants, who were also treated to a preview of the stage musical, “Annie.”
During the raffle, Bacolod entrepreneur Radjie Caram Jr., who runs The Living Channel, sponsored the major prize—an Asian cruise for two—which was won by lucky PRSP (Public Relations Society of the Philippines) member, Angel Doble.
During the PR congress, it was interesting to note that the world of public relations has gone digital in its thrust to go global. As former PRSP president Bong Osorio aptly noted, “Going global may be daunting, but achievable!”
