Drake’s album ‘Views’ hits 1B streams on Apple Music
Just like Adele, Drake’s new album skyrocketed a milestone in the American music industry.
His newest album, “Views,” broke a global record with 1 billion plays on Apple Music. In a report by Engadget, the album was released on April 29 and was previewed first on the music-streaming service.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, together with iTunes head Eddy Cue and Apple Music’s content head Larry Jackson, bestowed Drake with an honorary plaque during his night concert in San Jose, California, USA, on Sunday. The rapper posted a pic of his milestone on Instagram.
Moreover, Drake released a 23-minute film entitled “Please Forgive Me,” which was inspired by his album’s soundtracks.
