Close pal George Clooney ‘last to know’ about Brangelina split

Not even close pal George Clooney knew that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s marriage days were numbered.

One CNN reporter approached Clooney during the Leaders Summit for Refugees at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, where he supported his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney. He was attending a roundtable session with US President Barack Obama on Europe’s refugee dilemma when he was interviewed.

When the reporter asked Clooney of his reaction, he said, “What happened?”

The reporter then clarified about the couple’s split. Clooney responded, “I didn’t know that, wow.”

“I feel very sorry then,” he added. “That’s a sad story and unfortunate for a family. It’s an unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that…This is the first I’ve heard of it.”
