More stars at Electronic Dance Music fest

While the 2015 Road to Ultra: Philippines electronic dance music (EDM) concert had only one headliner in Skrillex, this year’s edition will feature three of the most popular record producers today in the house genre leading the lineup: Swedish DJ Alesso, and Dutch DJs Tiësto and Hardwell.

Mounted by Ovation Productions and Blackwater, the event—strictly for partygoers 18 years old and above—will be held on Sept. 17 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena (call 470-2222 or visit http://philippines. Also expected to serve EDM fans with stomping beats and earth-shaking bass drops are supporting acts Fede Le Grand, Moti, Jessica Milner, Raiden and Tom Taus.


Road to Ultra, a touring, one-day, single-stage EDM festival, was conceptualized by the same team behind the annual Ultra Music Festival in Florida, United States.

Aside from the music, the gig, which has also made stops in Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong, is also a heady display of complex stage productions, laser works and pyrotechnics. Allan Policarpio
