Vicor Music Corp. is celebrating its golden anniversary this November with the release of a coffee table book featuring some of the biggest names in the field of music. One of them is Anthony Castelo, who is famous for his signature ballad, “Balatkayo.”

“It’s nice to reminisce about the happy memories of my recording career. I will always be grateful to Vic del Rosario, whose friendship I treasure,” he mused.

Anthony never stopped singing even when he lived abroad with his family. The last few years, however, have seen a change in his choice of songs.

He has become partial to cause-oriented songs similar to those popularized by Freddie Aguilar and Asin. In them, he sings about love for country.

On a recent visit to Davao City, he presented President Duterte a copy of his gift of song entitled “Ang Bagong Pilipino.” Anthony also expressed his desire to help the new administration in the field of arts and culture.
