The International Coastal Clean Up Day will be celebrated on Sept. 17. We look forward to the event every year because we see how people from all walks of life come together to effect a change in their dirty surroundings. To participate, check out the ICC Philippines website.

Mother Earth is our friend, and the ocean is her gift. The trash that litters beaches is a sign of our disrespect and lack of appreciation for our friend.
Rich resource
The ocean is the lifeblood of the planet. Its water nourishes many creatures. So, throwing garbage into it is poisoning a rich resource.
Cleanliness is next to godliness. With so much trash around, we’ve moved further away from a godly existence.
The ocean is a killing field of dying creatures. Cleaning up the beaches is a kind act of reaching out to its living entities that silently cry for help.
Live with a consciousness that inspires concern for all. Care for others and take action.
Nonbiodegradable
A lot of litter on beaches and oceans is made of nonbiodegradable plastics that last for hundreds of years. Do not throw them anywhere.
One plastic straw, one careless throw can mean hundreds of years of pollution.
A government that does not build waste water treatment plants is creating a monstrous toxic problem.
