Kris Lawrence on Katrina Halili: Now we’re civil

His love life was fairly serene until he got into a relationship with one of the sexiest and most controversial women in the Philippines, actress Katrina Halili. Long after their fall-out, issues with the sexy actress  still hound RnB royalty Kris Lawrence. However, he can say they are now good friends and parents to their baby girl.

In an exclusive interview with ShowbizLIVE last Sept. 7, Inquirer’s first entertainment talk show, Kris gamely engaged in a fun and relaxed chit chat with the hosts alongside answering questions from social media.

“Now I’m thankful that we’re civil [to each other]. Before our breakup, konting ano lang, small little conversations, mag-aaway na kami, so at least now we say hi, hello, keep it simple for the baby,” Kris openly shared.

Some people are still hopeful that someday the two can get back together but Kris says he can only hope for the best.

“We don’t know the future—if you ask me I just want her to be happy,” he said.

A question from social media asked if he knew about any suitors of his ex-girlfriend and mom of his kid.

“Officially I don’t know, but like I said, I want her to be happy,” he answered./rga
