Tom Hanks’ latest starrer, “Sully,” was filmed entirely with Imax cameras for stunning clarity and scale. As a result, viewers will see the so-called “miracle in the Hudson” emergency plane landing, heroically managed by Hanks’ character, Capt. Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger, on Jan. 15, 2009, saving the lives of 155 passengers. Other stars include Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney.

Thelma Cleto-Salumbides’ books have been praised for delivering comprehensive, yet easy to understand lessons in Tagalog grammar, building incrementally on its lessons. Its grammatical concepts are supported by many exercises to put those concepts into practice and build a wide vocabulary.

The author’s goal is to reach out to “my kababayan, visitors, diplomats, missionaries, students and all non-Tagalog speakers who want to gain access to the Filipino’s heart and culture.”

The book’s course book and student volumes are available at Fully Booked, Powerbooks, Libros Filipinos, Solidaridad, Popular Bookstore and Goodwill Bookstore.
