Here’s a classic throwback tale.
Handsome Heartthrob could’ve had any woman in town. But HH met his match in Pretty Newbie.
Alas, PN’s Haughty Folks frowned upon HH—deeming the poor guy unworthy of their prized daughter’s amore.
HH worked hard and amassed a small fortune, but still the HFs were unimpressed.
On the other side of the city, Dashing Hunk shattered Stunning Celebrity’s heart to smithereens. Turned out DH’s high-flying Parents didn’t approve of SC. DH eventually dumped SC.
As luck would have it, HH and SC found each other and fell in love.
As for PN and DH?
If this story were a telenovela, they would’ve ended up in each other’s arms, too.
Truth can be stranger than a soap opera.
Tortured spirit
Hunky Playboy messed with the wrong guy.
HP purportedly fooled around with Lovely Lady who was involved with Influential Personality.
To avenge a bruised ego, IP dispatched thugs to beat up HP.
Eager to please, IP’s attack dogs went a step further.
They tortured HP—making sure that the poor charmer’s family jewels would be smashed to bits.
Ouch!
Discomfort room
Gifted Performer invited Prominent Celebrity to a gig in an exclusive club.
In the middle of GP’s show, PC grew restless and rushed to the toilet.
Seemed “someone” was waiting for PC in the comfort room.
While GP was engaged in vocal calisthenics onstage, PC’s “special” friend was likewise giving a scintillating, show-stopping performance in the loo.
PC and pal were soon joined by another Creepy Guest and they locked themselves in the washroom.
Not to clean up, but to do the opposite: Talk about getting down and dirty.
Seeing stars
Impish Entertainer pulled a prank on Stern Colleague at work.
SC saw stars because IE got carried away in the scene.
Perhaps SC can take consolation in the fact that years before, karma had knocked on IE’s door with dispatch.
IE kept horsing around, resulting in a major booboo that made No-nonsense Coworker see red.
After work, NC confronted IE.
Let’s just say, IE likewise saw constellations after NC’s outburst.
Monster in the making
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
The bosses should intervene as early as now.
Insiders complain that Beautiful Newcomer is difficult to work with. BN turned out to be a budding monster—constantly making unnecessary demands on the set.
One fine day, BN refused to face the press, who were invited to cover a shoot in a faraway place.
BN was in no mood to chat and remained holed up in the air-conditioned van for hours.
BN, who has yet to make a dent in the public’s consciousness, is already acting like a prima donna.
