Teaching by words and action

Mahatma Gandhi taught by insightful words and action, leading the way for others with faith, truth and courage. Some of his words of wisdom:

A “no” uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a “yes” merely spoken to please or avoid trouble.

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.

A coward is incapable of expressing love; it is the prerogative of the brave.

Each one of us has to find peace from within.

Honest disagreement is  a good sign of progress.

Anger is the enemy of nonviolence, and pride is the monster that swallows it up.

Dirty feet

I will not let anyone walk through my mind with dirty feet.

In prayer, it is best to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

It has always been a mystery to me how men feel honored by the humiliation of their fellow beings.

The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.

To believe in something and not live it is dishonest.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever!
