Mega’s new look

MEGASTAR Sharon Cuneta unveiled her “new” look during the semifinal rounds of “The Voice Kids” over the weekend. As fellow coach Lea Salonga posted on Twitter last week: “Yup, @sharon_cuneta12 has lost … a significant amount of weight. Wow.”

It’s not the first time Mega has shed extra pounds. “I’ve lost weight a few times na before and also in huge amounts,” she recalled. But this time has turned out to be a “dramatic” transformation, in more ways than one.

Sharon told the Inquirer that after losing a few more pounds (20, says producer Malou Santos; 10, she pleaded), she’ll start preparing for the shoot of her comeback movie—produced by Star Cinema, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and costarring “a popular young love team.”

She can’t divulge other details yet—including the identity of her prospective partner. Suffice it to say, she is “so excited,” like most of her loyal Sharonians.

Her first indie film, Mes de Guzman’s “Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha,” is set to premiere in next year’s edition of the Cinemalaya fest. Bayani San Diego Jr.
