Artworks in a luxury setting
With a stunning architecture inspired by cruise ships, Conrad Manila has 347 rooms, each with distinctive art pieces.
The artworks of notable artists include signature works that are showcased at the hotel’s three dining establishments. Its art collection is a panorama of contemporary paintings, sculptures, decorative art and 3D art. There are also elements that highlight traditional Filipino arts and crafts.
An Art Program committee was in charge of the acquisition of these artworks, with Nestor Jardin as project director and Ma. Victoria Herrera, Vita Sarenas and Luni Doctor as curators.
Thirty artists were commissioned for the art collection, which showcases artists like Monica Delgado, Impy Pilapil, Tessie Pettyjohn, MM Yu, Nikki Ocean, Michelle Perez, Nicole Coson, Marija Vicente, Gail Vicente, Yasmin Doctor, Olivia d’Aboville, Leeroy New, Reggie Yuson, Mac Valdezco, Mark Justiniani, Raffy Napay, Joey de Castro, Pardo de Leon, Nilo Ilarde, Arvin Villaruel, Stanley Ruiz, Eugene Jarque, Indy Paredes, Lou Lim, Leo Aguilar, John Pettyjohn, Demy Padua Jr., Don Dalmacio, Van Tuico and Alain Hablo.
General Manager Harald Feurstein shares, “At Conrad Manila, we are committed to promoting art beyond its decorative function.”
