One-night show with The Stylistics

THE STYLISTICS

The Stylistics, the American soul-R&B vocal group that rose to fame in the early 1970s, will hold a one-night show—mounted by Ovation Productions—on Aug. 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum (call 9115555).

The quartet, which has already performed in the country several times, has gone through a number of lineup changes over the years, and is currently composed of Airrion Love, Herb Murrell, Eban Brown and Jason Sharp.

They’re expected to serenade their fans with a catalogue of hits that includes “You Are Everything,” “Betcha By Golly, Wow” and “You Make Me Feel Brand New.”

The Stylistics will be joined in the concert by another popular 1970s act, the Cuba Gooding Sr.-led funk band Main Ingredient, which is behind the the hit song, “Everybody Plays the Fool.” TVJ
