Smart rocked the house with a one-night-only concert exclusively for their subscribers last Thursday, July 14, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Dubbed Smart Music Live, the event brought together some of the biggest names in the local and international music scene. Here’s a quick rundown of what happened.

Producer, composer, and beatmaker CRWN opened the night with his distinct electronic sound followed by the dance rock tunes of Autotelic who hyped the crowd with the infectious riffs of their single Gising.

Following the first set of performances, hosts Chico, Gino, and Delamar kept the crowd’s energy level high as they raffled off goodies and prizes to lucky Smart subscribers in attendance.

Just when everybody thought the giveaways couldn’t get any better, PLDT-Smart Chairman and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan announced the biggest schwag of the evening: a brand new 2016 Toyota Vios!

Up Dharma Down performed their hits Sana, Oo, and Indak. By the end of their set, vocalist Armi Millare encouraged the crowd to light the venue up with the glow of their mobile phones as the band played fan favorite Tadhana, giving the coliseum a surreal vibe.

As the rain poured outside the venue, Aegis brought the crowd to their feet with their hits Basang Basa sa Ulan, Luha, and Halik. Ecstatic, the crowd sang along to every word.

The entire coliseum was drowned by the screams of the women who couldn’t control their kilig by the time British singer-songwriter Nathan Sykes took to the stage. Sykes thrilled the crowd with his dance club hit Kiss Me Quick and a swoon-worthy rendition of Over and Over Again.

Capping off the festivities is music legend Ely Buendia who delivered what is arguably the most memorable and well-received performance of the night with his hits Ligaya, Alapaap, With a Smile, Pare Ko, and Ang Huling El Bimbo.

Smart Music Live was definitely an experience like no other, bringing their subscribers right where music happens. If you missed out, fret not because this is just the start of a series of concerts Smart has lined up — an entire roster of international acts await loyal Smart subscribers in the coming months such as Selena Gomez on July 31 and In the Mix (featuring The 1975, Third-Eye Blind, Panic!
