Not all ordinary people are spared from obsession brought by the smash-hit game Pokémon Go – even pop singers can’t help but embrace the trend of catching pocket monsters.
On Sunday, hundreds of American “trainers” gathered at the Central Park in New York to catch Gyarados, a rare Pokémon, Billboard reported. One of those faces in the crowd was Justin Beiber, who was also in town to prepare for his upcoming Purpose tour at Madison Square Garden.
Social media users posted pictures of them “catching” the “rare Pokémon”.

In an Instagram clip posted by Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, the Canadian artist was walking the streets and swarming with a crowd of people to play the game.
Bieber’s friend Alfredo Flores posted their picture with the caption, “Central Park catching them all!”
