‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ to be revived
“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” is set to conquer the 21st century as the superhero show gets revived for a modern audience.
Originally aired in 1983, the show cultivated a cult following while it aired. A team called Super7 will be showcasing a new episode at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, reports Time.
This is not the first revival, however, as Cartoon Network also remade the series back in 2002 with creator Michael Halperin and some of the original writers of the show.
Apart from the 21st-century cartoon revival, a live-action iteration is also said to be in development and will be directed by McG, known for the Charlie’s Angels movies. He also did executive producer work for The O.C. and Supernatural.
The new episode will be titled “The Curse of Three Terrors.” Watch the trailer below as well as a little lighthearted clip inspired by the original show. Alfred Bayle
