Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates, is situated in the hot desert region of the Middle East, so you might think that it lacks natural flora and fauna.

The government has had to run hoses to irrigate the trees and flowering plants to make sure that they survive the searing heat.
The Philippines is a tropical country with abundant rain. But there are few public gardens with trees and ornamental flowering plants around.
So, we urge our government officials and influential individuals: Build more parks for the people!
