MANILA, Philippines — The Kenny Loggins concert tonight (Tuesday) at the Singapore Expo will go on as scheduled, sources said.
INQUIRER.net, quoting the same sources, reported Monday that the American singer-songwriter’s handlers had no choice but to cancel the show, after Loggins was said to have been bothered by an ailment in his spine while performing Sunday night at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Loggins’ entourage left Manila Monday morning.
“There is a lump in his spine and I felt it when we hugged after our duet,” said Filipino pop balladeer Martin Nievera, who made a surprise appearance onstage and sang with Loggins on the his 1985 hit song “Forever” near the end of the show.
Nievera added that Loggins had been on medication to ease the back pain.
After the Singapore gig, Loggins flies back to the United States to fulfill a 32-date series of performances starting May 28.
