Culture Club show interrupted due to power failure

The one-night-only concert of Culture Club at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday was interrupted because of reported power breakdown, Inquirer Twitter reports said.

After 35 minutes, the show resumed with the reggae version of Bread’s “Everything I Own.”

At around 10 pm Saturday, it was reported the group had to leave the stage for the organizers to fix the glitch.

Culture Club started their set with “Church of the Poison Mind”.  The power breakdown took place after the fourth song, the reports said.

It was drummer Jon Moss who explained to the crowd they have no power.

Vocalist and band leader Boy George announced that because of the technical problem, he would go back to his dressing room for “costume change,” Inquirer Lifestyle books and arts editor Lito Zulueta said in his Twitter account.
